ParadoxInteractive宣佈，由芬蘭NitroGames研發、新款結合貿易與戰爭的海上即時戰略遊戲《東印度公司
（EastIndiaCompany）》已經開始壓盤，將於7月31日發售。本遊戲結合了貿易題材與海戰等戰略要素，玩家
可以建立個人的船隊，到遙遠的海洋展開貿易，也可以率領船艦，在廣大的海洋上與其他國家對手展開戰鬥。
《東印度公司》遊戲背景是以18世紀英國東印度公司為基礎，主要呈現在開放的海洋上進行動態的戰爭，玩家可
以挑戰如何建立收益最大的世界貿易路線，並且面對詭譎政治情勢的挑戰。遊戲地圖涵蓋英國到印尼等地，玩家
可以邊進行新國度的探索、交易。
在《東印度公司》中，玩家將有機會成為東印度公司的總督，或者是選擇擔任其他競爭對手來對抗，目前遊戲共
有英國、荷蘭、法國、丹麥、葡萄牙、瑞典、西班牙等國家可選擇。遊戲中有眾多的殖民地、資源等目標，像是
茶葉、香料、黃金、鑽石、瓷器等貴重物品，玩家要想盡辦法通過貿易路線把這些物品運回歐洲，但又要面對其
他競爭對手可能擋在你的路徑上；玩家可以挑戰征服公海，並探索40個不同的城市、村莊等，享受冒險的樂趣。
玩家可以逐步建立個人的船隊，建立連結到遙遠國家的航線，並且注意對手的動態。玩家在遊戲中，將可選擇各
式各樣的運輸與軍用船隻，像是小舟、帆船、護衛艦等，隨著玩家勢力逐漸壯大，玩家可以創造不同的船隊，指
定給他們具體的貿易路線，並且積極掌控重要港口、升級船隻，以確保個人地位；玩家也可以僱用船艦的指揮
官，指揮官將會學習新技能，並且增進船艦的能力。
然而，戰爭與衝突是無法避免的。當戰爭爆發時，玩家可以體會到即時策略的壯觀海戰，感受震耳欲聾的炮火聲
撕裂敵人的船隻與船員等。玩家可以直接指揮所有船艦，也可以針對每個船艦下指令。
遊戲支援多人連線，最多可8人線上對戰，玩家通過打敗對手可以提升個人在網路上的排名。
